What are enzymes in dishwashing water?

11/11/2017 News |

Definition: Enzymes is a biological catalyst with a basic protein component. Biocatalysts are organic compounds that are essentially proteins that are synthesized in the cell and are capable of increasing the rate of chemical reactions occurring in the cell. Substances of a similar nature, but which exist outside of the living organism, are called catalysts. The first enzyme was isolated from living cells in 1926.

Enzymes produced by non-pathogenic microorganisms are completely non-toxic. So far, enzymes have been widely used in the medical, food and light industry sectors. Today, enzymes are also widely used in the production of detergents – producing microbial detergents. Typically, a mixture of two, three or four enzymes is used:

1.Protease – an alkaline enzyme – cleans impurities from proteins, for example, traces of blood, eggs, weeds. These are the usual dirt on the fabric. Protease cleaves proteins into peptides dissolved in water easily.

2.Amylase removes stains that contain starch such as potatoes, chocolate, baby food. Stains with high levels of starch and other glue-like components are difficult to remove with just moderate alkaline cleaning products. Amylase transforms the starch into dextrins and sugars, from which it is easy to clean the fabric.

3.Lipase destroys fats and oils. This is a typical ingredient that increases the efficiency of cleaning grease and fat.

4.Cellulase lightens the fabric color and removes dirt particles, keeping the fabric light and soft.

Application of Enzyme in Cleaning Technology

Enzyme-containing detergents are a prime example of new technological trends on the doorstep of the 21st century – a combination of chemistry and biology, which results in products that are widely used around the world. Currently, dishwashing liquid containing enzymes is commonly used. Thanks to the enzyme, dishwashing liquid is more washable at lower temperatures and can be biodegradable, in return it is safe for skin and health, thus saving energy and significantly reducing environmental pollution. Scientists have used this technology as biological dishwashing liquid, fabric softener, hand wash liquid, … extremely well.

As a result, the best biotechnology products are being developed extensively and giving users peace of mind. Among them, the TERO Biotech Cleanser is one of the top choices because of its cleansing effect and absolute safety when used for babies and sensitive-skin people.
